Project SmokeLess will be having a Relay for Life Team. The event will be held at Penn State April 25th and 26th. Help us fight cancer by donating on behalf of our team!
Our Goal
Project SmokeLess is working hard to get University Park smoke-free, but we are aware of set backs that can occur. Because of this, we have made contigency suggestions that will hopefully one day lead Penn State towards a smoke-free campus.
We have created three preliminary suggestions Penn State should consider (subject to revisions):
Option One: Completely smoke-free campus
Option Two: Phased in Smoke-free zones
Option Three: 30 foot perimeter around all buildings.
Our Plan
We plan to educate the Penn State community on the affects of Secondhand Smoke as well as start a grassroots campaign to convince the policy makers of PSU that there needs to be a change. We are reaching out to clubs and organizations to gain their support as well as talk to the policy makers themselves. We will be doing events and activities along the way to cause people to think about the current situation.
